Edward Lam brings a wealth of non-profit and private business financial experience to ITU.
Lam has served as the Chief Financial Officer at ITU since 2011. During that time he has successfully strengthened ITU’s oversight effectiveness by recommending the Board of Trustees to establish a separate Audit Committee to oversee the quality and integrity of the University’s accounting, auditing, legal, and regulatory compliance practices. His contributions in these fields were key to earning ITU’s WASC accreditation.
Prior to his work in higher education, Lam gained extensive experience in financial affairs including fiscal reporting, budget planning, audit, and tax compliance. Along with his position at ITU, he works as active member for organization like The National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). He earned his Business Administration degree from Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley and gained a MS in Taxation from Lucas Graduate School of Business, San Jose State University.
