Dr. Xiaoshu Qian is core professor at ITU while working full-time as a group manager in the broadband wireless division of Intel. He previously served as Senior Verification Engineer at Silicon Magic Corporation. Dr. Qian has been working on algorithm development, hardware, software, and firmware implementation in the area of signal and data processing over the last 19 years. He has authored or co-authored five journal papers, five conference papers, and owns five patents. He has taught more than a dozen courses in computer networks, wireless communications, DSP, and hardware/software design to Silicon Valley engineers and graduate students at Santa Clara University. He has also developed training courses for Intel University.
Dr. Qian received his Bachelors degree in physics from Zhejiang University in China, and Masters degrees in computer science and doctorate in electrical engineering from University of Rhode Island.
