Below are some quick guidelines on starting and completing the process; please read them carefully before beginning. Once you have read the instructions, click on the ‘Click Here to Start the ITU Application Process Now’ link below. You will be redirected to MyITU, where you can begin, and submit, your application.

 

Step 1: Complete the Application Form

A. There are five sections to fill out on the application form, with some basic information about you and your educational/professional background. The form should only take 10-12 minutes to complete.

B. You do not need to provide any documents during this process of the application.

C. Once you have completed your application, you’ll be prompted to pay your $100 non-refundable application fee.
Important Notice: Your application will not be processed until this fee is paid.

D. Once you have paid your application fee and have been admitted, you will receive your acceptance letter via email. At this point, you will be able to complete the enrollment process and declare your intent to enroll.

E. After you have completed the enrollment process, the Admissions Office will activate your student account and provide you with your student ID/login information.

Step 2: Submit Your Admissions Documents

Before being admitted, you must submit the following documents using the Admissions Document Submission Form:

a. Official transcripts 1
b. Your government issued ID or passport
c. Your Statement of Purpose
d. Your resume
e. Letter(s) of Recommendation (recommended, not required). The recommender's full name, title, organization/company name, mailing address, phone number, organization/company email address of recommender, and signature must be included.
f. GRE or GMAT scores (recommended, not required) 2

1 Sealed official transcripts must be sent to ITU directly by mail, in-person, or through a verified e-transcript provider such as Parchment. International students must submit a foreign transcript evaluation (course-by-course)5 for all non-US degrees. Successful applicants who are admitted to the University should have earned (the equivalent of) a US bachelor’s degree with a cumulative 2.75 GPA or above, or (the equivalent of) a US master’s degree with a cumulative 3.0 GPA or above. Degrees earned in the United States must be from a regionally accredited US institution.

Important: International students should complete steps 1 & 2 above before submitting international student documents.

International applicants are required to submit foreign transcript evaluations (course-by-course) 5, proof of financial sources, and demonstrate English proficiency by either submitting a TOEFL internet-based test (ibt)3 or IELTS academic score4.

We also accept completion of Level 112 of the ELS intensive English for Academic Purposes program as proof of English proficiency for undergraduate and graduate admission. Students already meeting academic requirements may apply for Conditional Admission to specific programs of study at the university and achieve English proficiency with ELS Language Centers. 3 The ITU TOEFL DI Code is 4446. ITU looks for a score of 72 or better for the internet-based test (ibt).

4 The IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) code can be provided to ITU for online score verification. ITU looks for a band score of 6.0 or better for the academic module.

Students whose TOEFL or IELTS scores do not meet this benchmark will be required to partake in additional language training prior to arrival at ITU, depending on the student’s level of proficiency.
