Prospective Students
ITU offers not only highest caliber cutting-edge education, but also supports graduates to become contributing members of the community and apply what they have learned to their personal and professional lives. ITU’s first Ph.D. graduate was a working industrial professional while studying who went on to establish Silicon Valley research standards in China’s two IC Systems Design universities. Another ITU alum went on to become a cardiology resident at Stanford Medical School. Yet another became ITU’s own Vice President of Development.
The on-going global success of our alumni is, in part, due the unique learning environment they receive at ITU– from the one-on-one consultations with top admission staff throughout their academic careers to face time with faculty and application oriented academic training.
Some of our students come to ITU directly from undergraduate and community colleges; others have worked professionally and are returning to school. A strong academic background is expected of all ITU students. Prospective ITU students come from a wide range of undergraduate disciplines.
Each application is evaluated carefully by the Faculty Admissions Committee on the candidate’s potential to succeed in ITU’s cutting edge, hi-tech, application-oriented environment. The Committee takes into consideration each candidate’s academic record, letters of recommendation and professional experience (if relevant). Applicants can also submit any other documentation or materials they think will enable the Admissions Committee to better understand their achievements. ITU does not require standardized scores like the Graduate Record Examination or the Graduate Management Admissions Test, but applicants who have taken such examinations may submit their scores.
You may attend ITU as a full-time or part-time student. Entry is available during the fall, spring and summer trimester.
