These are the 2 steps for getting admitted into ITU.

    1. Complete the Online Application
    2. Pay a non-refundable application fee of $80
    • You should assemble any additional required documents from the “Application Checklist”. You can download the checklist, or view it online.
    • An ITU Admissions Representative will contact you within 2 business days to help guide you through the rest of the Admissions process.
    • All documents submitted become property of the University and will not be returned. For transcripts to be considered official they must be submitted an envelope sealed by the university issuing them.

After You Have Applied

Your application will be reviewed by the ITU Admissions Office as soon as we receive your complete application and required documents. ITU will send you a written notification once a decision has been made. The review process typically takes 3-5 business days.


Master’s Program Admissions Requirements

  • Evidence of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in keeping with documentation practices of applicants’ home countries or demonstration of equivalent skills, training and experience as evaluated by Admissions Committee
  • The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) general test or GMAT for MBA applicants is preferred, but not required.
  • Presentation of successful undergraduate work that demonstrates the equivalent of a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a US-style 4.00 grading system.

Additional International Master’s Program Admissions Requirements

  • English proficiency: TOEFL or ILETS is required. ITU does not have a stated minimum score.  The test results along with the application and all submitted documents will be evaluated as a whole.
  • All foreign transcripts must be submitted to WES World Education Services for a WES Basic Course-by-Course (with GPA & course-levels) evaluation. Please note that it takes WES at least 7 business days after receipt of your documents to process and send the evaluation to ITU.

Doctorate Program Admissions Requirements

  • GRE examination (can be waived according to applicants’ applicable working experience or technical publications)
  • 3.0 GPA or above Master of Science (MS) degree.
  • If an applicant has a bachelor’s degree, s/he must concurrently enroll in a Master’s degree program to fulfill the credits requirement of a Master’s degree and then continue into the PhD program.
  • Transfer of credits accepted from another master’s program if the student has completed an equivalent class at another institution with a B or higher.
