All of ITU’s courses are application based, with some programs emphasizing specialty areas tailored to the needs of Silicon Valley corporations. Our faculty members’ research, teaching and industry experience spans business, engineering and media arts. Classes are small, providing students with individualized attention and opportunities for intellectual growth.

Through a special internship program, ITU’s consortium of industrial professionals sponsors full-time students to collaborate with their teams on special projects. These assignments involve enough theoretical knowledge to satisfy high university academic standards while providing students with meaningful industry experience.

ITU is located in the heart of San Jose, close to where many current professors and students work in the hi-tech entrepreneurial field for firms like Google, Yahoo and Sun Microsystems. The beautiful, natural surrounding San Francisco Bay Area provides the perfect balance to the hectic, fast-paced world of Silicon Valley. The Bay Area has many nearby beaches and is less than two hours away from the Napa Valley wine country.

ITU is currently developing an e-learning program and forming partnerships with education providers throughout China to localize its delivery. An international exchange program with scholars from universities around the world is in the works with the help of industrial grants and those from foundations like Ford Foundation, the National Science Foundation and the Fulbright Foundation. With plans to expand its educational scope to contribute to the Chinese educational infrastructure and beyond, the world awaits.
