Office of Institutional Research and Assessment

The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) provides quantitative and qualitative analysis. Information the department uncovers is used to support assessment, accreditation, decision-making, policy analysis, program improvement, and organizational planning. OIRA is responsible for institutional data reporting to external agencies and organizations, as well as some of the compliance requirements mandated by government and accreditation agencies. The department serves as the coordinator of program assessment efforts for ITU’s academic departments.

Student Data

ITU uses student achievement data to support institutional decisions. This initiative is in congruence with our campus-wide practice to use data-driven decision-making tools as aids for faculties and administrators. We systematically collect and analyze demographic, administrative, process, and achievement gap data to guide a range of conclusions that aim to help improve the success of our students. The following types of Student Data are available:

External Reporting

Data and Research Request

The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment works with people and organizations interested in data about the ITU community. We also work with ITU departments to analyze assessment results.

If you would like to request data from ITU or need assistance with data analysis of an assessment project, please complete our Data Request Form.

Please note that any requests that are related to research on human subjects must be approved by ITU’s Institutional Review Board. External requests may also need additional approval from the senior leaders responsible for the populations under study.

The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment does not provide personally-identifiable data to external requesters. Any requests for information about individual students must be addressed to the Office of the Registrar. Requests about individual members of ITU faculty or staff should be addressed to the ITU Human Resources Department.
