Teaching Assistants – 30 vacancies
JOB SUMMARY
The Teaching Assistant is responsible for assisting the instructors with the course presentations, assignments, and/or special class projects. In addition, he/she provides administrative and instructional support in classrooms, allowing instructors to devote more time to lesson planning and teaching. They work under the guidance and supervision of instructors and/or school administrators.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Discuss assigned duties with instructors to coordinate instructional efforts.
- Upload course materials, such as assignments, CSLO, and case studies.
- Prepare and upload midterm and final exam questions.
- Tutor and assist students to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by instructors.
- Send reminder emails to students about upcoming events.
- Participate in meetings help by Learning Resource team.
- Distribute teaching materials such as textbooks, workbooks, papers, and pencils to students.
- Take any miscellaneous duties out of regular job scope as needed to help the team accomplish assigned projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Ability to manage time and multi-task in a busy environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bright and warm personality with outstanding communication skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external contacts.
