Teaching Assistants – 30 vacancies

JOB SUMMARY
The Teaching Assistant is responsible for assisting the instructors with the course presentations, assignments, and/or special class projects. In addition, he/she provides administrative and instructional support in classrooms, allowing instructors to devote more time to lesson planning and teaching. They work under the guidance and supervision of instructors and/or school administrators.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Discuss assigned duties with instructors to coordinate instructional efforts.
  • Upload course materials, such as assignments, CSLO, and case studies.
  • Prepare and upload midterm and final exam questions.
  • Tutor and assist students to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by instructors.
  • Send reminder emails to students about upcoming events.
  • Participate in meetings help by Learning Resource team.
  • Distribute teaching materials such as textbooks, workbooks, papers, and pencils to students.
  • Take any miscellaneous duties out of regular job scope as needed to help the team accomplish assigned projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Ability to manage time and multi-task in a busy environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bright and warm personality with outstanding communication skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external contacts.
